About Callum
I have over 10 years’ experience working in careers guidance and admissions at the University of Oxford. My sessions are designed to help you get clear, confident and unstuck. They are practical, supportive, and shaped around what you need right now. Alongside my work at Oxford, I regularly undertake freelance work with schools, colleges and outreach programmes. I also lead initiatives across the careers sector, including chairing national careers and EDI groups, contributing to professional bodies shaping careers practice, and advising on sector-wide policy and guidance. I have formal legal training, postgraduate qualifications in careers guidance, and I am currently completing a PhD focused on careers and graduate transitions. These sessions are for sixth form students, university students, graduates and early professionals who want expert guidance that feels calm, human and clear. All private coaching is offered independently and is not associated with my role at the University of Oxford.

Sessions can be used for: • Career planning and direction - Clarifying options, understanding career pathways, identifying your skills, building experience, and deciding whether further study is right for you. • Understanding sectors and careers - Gaining insight into different industries, networking, work experience, key resources, and salary expectations and negotiation. • Job and early career applications - CVs, supporting statements, applications, tasks, and preparation for tests, assessments and case studies. • University applications - Support with applications to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. I have extensive experience supporting successful applications across the UK, Europe and the USA. • Interview preparation and mock interviews - For both job applications and university admissions. • Specialist support for disabled and neurodivergent students and graduates Including decision-making around universities, careers, and reasonable adjustments. Sessions last around 50–60 minutes and can be booked as one-offs or as ongoing support. I work in a coaching-led way, helping you organise your thinking, strengthen your story, and move forward with confidence. All private coaching is offered independently and is not associated with my role at the University of Oxford.
