About Jo
I am currently a first year student of Cardiff University studying a five year integrated masters degree of biochemistry. I got into tutoring to hopefully spread a love for science and help make it a more fun experience for students who may be struggling or looking for a challenge. As a previous student of GCSE and A level biology I understand the challenges it can pose to students and I want to help relieve that in the best way I can.

I recently completed WJEC biology A level with an A* (A* GCSE). I am able to target specific areas of the course at the students request, covering required course content and practise questions to improve exam technique. I use numerous techniques such as flash cards to help with memorising core facts and concepts but I also allow time for students to create their own notes to consolidate the things they learn. I also encourage questions throughout the session to make sure the student fully understands and can move at the pace they need to.
