About Anne-Marie
Twenty years in secondary school education, teaching Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish). I have taught across the ability range, at KS3, KS4 and KS5. I have prepared pupils for G.C.S.E, A2, AS, and International Baccalaureate examinations. I have carried out interventions with G.C.S.E pupils and I am excellent at meeting deadlines, as well as planning events and activities in advance. I have always been happy to share and contribute ideas, for example creating resource folders and schemes of work for new courses. I am a sociable person, which I believe has been enhanced by my passion for languages, having lived and worked abroad as an au-pair, holiday guide and TEFL teacher in Italy and Mallorca. I am able to work independently as well as in a team, as I am keen to share and compare ideas and resources within roles I have undertaken, which also includes pastoral duties. I have organised overseas trips for school and student groups. For the last three years during the summer, I teach English as a foreign language to overseas students studying in Cambridge.

I embrace teaching students via visuals and gestures and links to their own native language. Learning should be fun as well as informative. I like to give resources recapping what has been taught and use PowerPoints with slides and clips relating to real life and cultural references where necessary.
