About Ayanda
As a Ph.D. candidate who has worked in tutoring tutored four years, I have assisted a little over 20 students in high school and university with tapping into their abilities to decipher academic literature and compose essays and creative fiction. To my knowledge, these students have either gone onto passing their respective grades and courses, or have ventured into other fields aligned to their instinctive interests and innate talents. Whatever decisions students make upon the completion of our time learning together, I always appreciate having the chance to help others uncover and take pride in who they are and what they enjoy in the world of work and literature.

In the third year of my joint bachelors degree in sociology and organisational psychology, I participated in peer-based tutoring that involved in-depth critical discussion about the coursework reading material, and assessing essays. My role as a tutor extended into my Honours year where I tutored first-year sociology students. During my Masters, I tutored high school students in oratory instruction, comprehension skills and literary analysis.
I have always tutored individuals and small groups; as such, I prefer a comfortable environment that is conducive to developing every student's unique voice and writing style. I prioritise critical thought and structure lessons in a way that every individual receives attention for their respective talents and interests.
