About Michael
All my courses include the essential elements of a yoga class:
-Pranayama: breathing techniques to calm the nervous system and settle into the practice
-Asana: Stretching and strengthening the muscles, joints, ligaments of the body. "Asana" is the Sanskrit word for "a seat," so we try to find calm, rest, even while practicing dynamic yoga positions
-Meditation: After the postures and having learned how to work with the breath, meditation quiets the mind by focusing attention on a single object (e.g. breathing).
