About TJ
I graduated high school from Texas which is where I was born and raised. Then, I went to college in Kansas at Sterling College where I majored in Math Education and have been teaching high school and middle school math for 4 years. I have also tutored students privately for about 10 years (since I was in high school).

I have three goals for each lesson. First and most importantly, I want you to feel confident and empowered in the subject through encouragement every step of the way. Second, I want to ensure before you understand specific procedures or advanced content, that you understand the foundational ideas and concepts. Lastly, I want to ensure you're able to solve the problem you need to. This may be through guided practice with similar examples or looking at mistakes in your problem-solving process through problems you have already solved/problems we solve together.
