About Lou
My degree was in World Music and I studied for my grade 8. I love teaching and think that learning an instrument is the vital to enrich childrens lives. Learning music can also improve behaviour, maths, listening skills and ability to concentrate.

I begin with keyboard familiarity games and activities. You can choose to have your child learn to read music from the beginning or introduce this element after the child has developed the ability to play by ear and knows basic chord structures. Having learned some simple melodies time will be spent on exploring musical genre and discovering which style and rhythm you child prefers. From here the classes are focused on learning pieces or preparing for exams, whichever you have decided.
