I have been writing SQL for over ten years in a highly secure environment, using VERY large data sets, thousands of tables, JOINed in multiple combinations and filtered by highly specific criteria. My job is to write SQL code. It's not part of my job - that's all I do is write SQL code, all day long.

About the lesson

I'll help you understand the concept behind databases in general and from there, how SQL is set up to help organize and extract/present data in a meaningful way.

I help show how to write queries including correct syntax, errors, best practices, and optimization.

I'll explain alternate ways of writing queries and when to use different methods based on data and resources and desired outcomes.

Most of all, I'll help you develop a love for SQL and an attitude of learning that will allow you to always find a way to move forward.
