About Ella
I received tutoring at different stages in my academic journey and was blessed to be taught by some very inspiring and talented people, so I have experience of the positive qualities a tutor should have, as well as an appreciation of what can be less useful.
My priority is to ensure that throughout each lesson, you feel comfortable asking all and any questions you have, even if they seem silly! In addition, knowing that I am there to help you so you can speak up at any point if what we are looking at isn't what you need.
I am a very relaxed and bubbly character, and aim to have entertaining and interactive lessons where we can discuss areas that you find tricky together, searching for new perspectives to take that can help with understanding and longer term memory. I believe active problem solving is a great way to consolidate concepts that can then be built on over time!

Lesson plans, length and frequency can be tailored to you! I know that some people gain much more from more frequent and shorter sessions (ie. 30-45 mins) whilst others prefer longer sessions (up to 90mins).
Lessons available for those from Key Stage 1 up to GCSE for all subjects named above, and up to A Level for Biology and Chemistry.
I received A*AA at A level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. And all A*/A at GCSE. I also passed the 11+ exams (and had tutoring support for this myself so have an appreciation for where a tutor can be really helpful in studying for it).
I have built up a broad range of tutoring experience, teaching Maths, Biology, Chemistry, veterinary university applications, English as a foreign language, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you I could be of help!
