About Lucy
I'm a highly organised and efficient individual which is something I bring to my approach to writing essays and revision for exams. Despite having tutored before finishing school, I gained most of my experience in my gap year where I was responsible for four children between the ages of ten and fifteen. As a result, I feel I work best when I'm able to form a strong relationship with those I tutor, during which, I'm able to encourage progress. I'm now a recent graduate from Cambridge, having successfully secured my place after retaking my A Levels. I've worked with A Level students in a coaching capacity demonstrating the approach I took to ensure my success when applying to uni and in my second A Level exams. I feel I understand the fundamental points of essay writing after writing multiple essays a week at Cambridge and am certain that I can instil in my tutees a winning mindset when it comes to essays and exams in general.

I work with all my tutees to help them develop the necessary skills in essay writing subjects, from the planning stages through to proofreading before submission. I like to emphasise the importance of clearly written essays over those that are overcomplicated under the guise of 'looking fancy.' I've supported children working towards 11+ entrance exams through to those applying to Oxbridge. As a current Cambridge theology student, I am also very comfortable teaching the current GCSE and A-Level RS syllabuses.
