About Joe
I have recently completed my PhD in New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of Cambridge. I love both learning about and teaching in all areas relating to the study of religion, from philosophy to ancient Greek, from biblical studies to the sociology of religion!
In addition to my doctoral work, I have completed an MPhil in New Testament and Early Christianity (distinction) and a BA Hons in Theology, Religion, and Philosophy of Religion (first with distinction). At A Level, I achieved 4 A* grades in Maths, Religious Studies, Sociology, and the EPQ qualification.

I am happy to help with all areas relating to the study of Theology, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Sociology. I have extensive experience (four years) teaching at all ability levels, from primary school age children through to Cambridge undergraduate students.
My lessons will be tailored to whatever you would find most useful. I can offer help with reviewing difficult material, or provide some challenging extra-curricular content, or assist you with your exam preparation. As someone with an in-depth knowledge of the Oxbridge system, I am also happy to help with advice on applications.
I am passionate about helping make the subject your own, by drawing out the connections between the things which most interest you and the topic at hand, whether that is history, literature, geography, or any subject that might initially seem irrelevant. I am able to provide an engaging and interactive tutoring experience, using different media to help you learn to your fullest potential.
