About Anna
I am a Cambridge Honours graduate and current MSc student at the London School of Economics, with extensive classroom experience and a strong record of student success. After qualifying through Teach First, I spent several years teaching in different schools around London before becoming a Head of Department. This experience has allowed me to combine deep academic expertise with an understanding of how to motivate and support learners. My approach is calm, structured, and nurturing. I aim to create lessons that build confidence, curiosity, and independence, helping students to feel both challenged and supported as they progress. I take great pride in seeing my students grow in skill and self-belief, achieving results that reflect their hard work and potential. Outside of teaching, I love cooking, long walks around London, and spending time with my husband - we’re hoping to add a new puppy to our family this year!

Lesson Structure: Typical sessions last 60–90 minutes, with homework or extension tasks provided to consolidate learning between lessons. Qualifications and Experience: - BA (Hons), University of Cambridge - MSc (in progress), London School of Economics - Qualified teacher (via Teach First) with PGDE and former Head of Department, with experience in curriculum and assessment design - Proven record of student progress and academic success My students: I typically teach students aged 8–18, preparing for Common Entrance (11+), GCSEs, and A-Levels in English Literature, English Language, History, and Government & Politics. My students range from high achievers seeking top grades to those rebuilding confidence and mastering foundational skills.
