My name is Luke (age 20) and I'm currently at the end of my second year studying Business Studies with Accountancy and Finance at Nottingham Trent University
I am new to tutoring but I have been studying business for 5 years so my experience in the subject area and understanding how students want to learn will make up for my lack of experience

I have been studying Business for 5 years now and in this time I have had a range of teachers that are both good and bad so I know what it can take to make a subject like business enjoyable even though I do not have any formal teaching experience. Throughout my secondary education I have achieved 11 GCSEs and 3 A-Levels and I am now currently studying Business Management with Accounting and Finance at Nottingham Trent University, I have just finished my second year of studies and I am currently on track to achieve a 2.1.
I would go about my lessons in a different way to "traditional" dictation, there would be some of this of course but it would not make up the bulk of my lessons, I would be going for a much more interactive approach using resources and drawing on personal experiences which is something that just reading off of a slideshow can not provide! However, if the student does prefer a more normal approach I would adapt to what they prefer and give a more traditional delivery of my teaching materials
Giving yourself time away from studying and work to get a mental reset is important. This is why when I am stressed I always meditate at least once a day and is something that I would advise my students to try if they are going through a tough time
