About William
Hi, I’m William. I'm a passionate financial literacy educator with over 20 years of experience in finance, sales, and education. I specialize in helping students of all ages understand the fundamentals of money management, from saving and budgeting to credit, investing, and financial independence. With a background as a former Senior Vice President in the mortgage industry and currently a Certified Financial Education Instructor, I’ve taught real-world money skills to students in middle school, high school, and college. I believe that financial education should be engaging, empowering, and fun. That’s why I design my sessions to be interactive, hands-on, and tailored to each student’s learning level and style. Whether your child is just starting to understand the value of money or preparing for the financial realities of college life, my goal is to make sure they walk away confident and capable. I’m here to not only teach financial concepts but to instill smart habits that can last a lifetime.

As a financial literacy tutor, my goal is to make money make sense—no matter your age or background. My teaching style is upbeat, interactive, and practical. I use real-world examples, fun quizzes, storytelling, and age-appropriate challenges to help students understand key financial concepts in a way that’s easy to grasp and apply in real life.
Teaching Method and Techniques:
I blend visual aids, role-playing scenarios, and games to make each session engaging. For middle and high school students, that might mean budgeting for a party or running a mock online store. For college students, we might break down a paycheck, analyze a student loan offer, or compare credit card terms. I adapt to each student’s learning style—whether they’re more visual, verbal, or hands-on learners.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each lesson starts with a quick review of what we’ve learned, followed by a real-world example or short story to introduce the new topic. Then we move into an interactive activity or scenario where the student solves a problem or makes a decision. We finish with a short recap and a “money mission” they can try on their own before the next session.
What Sets Me Apart:
I’m not just a tutor—I’m a guide who makes financial literacy fun, relatable, and confidence-boosting. With over 20 years in the financial and education industries, I bring a unique blend of professional experience and creative teaching. I’ve taught everyone from middle schoolers to college students, and my sessions are filled with energy, encouragement, and real-life application.
Who the Lessons Are For:
My tutoring is designed for:
Middle school students learning about saving, spending, and budgeting.
High school students preparing for their first job or managing allowance money.
College students navigating student loans, credit cards, and independent living.
Whether you're a parent looking to build your child's money smarts or a young adult looking to master financial basics, I’m here to help.
