About Michael
My journey into creative writing didn’t begin in a classroom—it began in war zones. While serving in the military, stationed in places where uncertainty hung heavy in the air, I turned to reading and writing as a way to process fear, stress, and the chaos around me. Over time, what started as therapy became craft. I began writing my own stories—stories that others found moving, powerful, and worth reading. That discovery lit a spark. After returning home, I started tutoring a family’s three children in English and creative writing. Over six years, I helped them raise not only their grades but their confidence and love of language. In college, I continued tutoring classmates, and even now, I work with online writers—especially those crafting web novels—to shape their ideas and polish their work for readers hungry for good storytelling. I specialize in working with students who don’t naturally love reading or writing. I get it. But I believe when people understand the power of words—how they inform, inspire, and influence—they begin to care. I make learning fun, relevant, and real, from writing essays and stories to breaking down news articles and understanding media bias. Helping people become confident readers, writers, and thinkers isn’t just my job—it’s my passion.
