About Thea-Anne
Trusted, Experienced, Focused on Student Growth and Confidence.
I've been teaching secondary mathematics since 2013, bringing over a decade of experience helping students from Year 7 to Year 12 succeed. I hold a Bachelor of Science from Monash University, majoring in Applied Mathematics and Astrophysics, along with a Diploma of Education (Secondary).
My teaching is grounded in both academic excellence and a deep understanding of how students learn. In 2023, one of my students achieved First in the State in HSC Standard Mathematics 1 — a testament to the effectiveness of my targeted, student-centred approach.
I’m passionate about helping students overcome maths anxiety, build genuine confidence, and achieve meaningful progress in their studies. My aim is always to provide a supportive, professional learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, take risks, and succeed.

A Personalised, Results-Focused Approach to Learning Maths
With over 10 years of teaching experience, I offer one-hour sessions that are focused, engaging, and tailored to get results — especially for students in Years 7–12. I specialise in HSC Standard Mathematics, guiding students with patience, clear, step-by-step instruction, and a deep understanding of the syllabus and exam requirements.
Each session is designed to make maths relevant and accessible by using real-world examples and connecting concepts to students' personal interests. This not only makes learning more enjoyable but also helps the content stick.
To build exam confidence, we work through targeted HSC-style questions, developing strategies that students can apply under exam conditions.
