About Rhys
My name is Rhys and I am a qualified Business Studies teacher with several years of experience teaching BTEC and IGCSE Business in international schools. I have successfully supported students in achieving Distinction grades and consistently strong examination results.
I am professional, reliable, and highly organized. I understand assessment criteria in depth and know exactly what examiners look for in coursework and extended responses. My experience teaching full-time in a secondary school means I am fully familiar with Pearson standards, moderation processes, and real classroom expectations.
Students describe me as clear, structured, and supportive. I set high standards while creating a calm environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence. My aim is not only to improve grades but to build long-term academic independence and self-belief.

My name is Rhys and I am a fully qualified Business Studies teacher currently teaching BTEC Business at secondary level. I specialise in Pearson BTEC Level 2 and Level 3, including Extended Certificate and Extended Diploma units.
My approach is highly structured and exam focused. I break down command words, assessment criteria and mark schemes so students understand exactly how to achieve Distinction level work. I use clear writing frameworks, real business case studies and step by step modelling to show students how to move from Pass to Merit and Distinction. I also focus heavily on exam technique, time management and structure for longer 9, 12 and 15 mark questions.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although 90 minute sessions are available for coursework support. Sessions are interactive, with guided practice, live feedback and clear action points at the end of each lesson.
My lessons are suitable for Year 10 to Year 13 students studying BTEC Business Level 2 or Level 3, as well as IGCSE Business students who want to strengthen analysis and evaluation skills. I also support students who need help improving confidence, organisation and independent study skills.
