About Zahra
I would describe myself as a passionate, patient, and approachable tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students reach their full potential. My lessons are aimed at learners of all ages who want to build confidence, improve their communication skills, and achieve academic success. Whether you’re a beginner learning a new language or a student preparing for exams, I create a supportive and motivating environment where learning feels enjoyable and rewarding. I specialise in English language, as well as Arabic, Italian, Spanish, and French, and I adapt my teaching style to meet each student’s individual goals. My lessons are interactive, structured, and fully tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. I begin with a short review to check understanding, followed by clear explanations, practical examples, and engaging activities to strengthen knowledge. I also include quick quizzes and games at the end of each session to make learning enjoyable, reinforce key concepts, and track progress over time. During college, I had the opportunity to teach English to 10 Romanian students for a year, helping them improve their speaking, writing, grammar, and confidence. This experience inspired my love for teaching and showed me how effective a personalised approach can be. Every student learns differently — some respond best to visual aids, others to conversation or repetition — so I adapt my format to what works best for each individual. I specialise in English, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, and French, offering lessons for beginners through to advanced learners. My deep understanding of AQA and Edexcel exam boards also enables me to support students preparing for exams with targeted revision, practice papers, and strategies to boost performance under pressure. My teaching style is student-centred, creative, and supportive. I use methods that encourage participation and curiosity, such as rapid-fire quizzes, interactive exercises, and mini-rewards to keep motivation high. I simplify complex topics into clear, easy-to-grasp explanations so that every student — regardless of background or ability — feels capable and confident. In addition to language tutoring, my academic background gives me strong communication, organisation, and mentoring skills. I hold a BSc in Biomedical Science and an MSc in Cancer and Molecular Diagnostics, and I am currently completing an MSc in Physician Associate Studies at Newcastle University. My multicultural experience — being bilingual in English and Arabic and fluent in French and Italian — helps me connect with learners from diverse backgrounds and create an inclusive, comfortable learning environment. Above all, my goal is to make every lesson engaging, empowering, and enjoyable. I want each student to finish a session feeling more confident, more capable, and one step closer to achieving their goals.
