About Quinn
I have been teaching Economics for over 2 years, guiding students through both the technical side of the subject and the human stories behind the numbers. My approach is holistic and student-centered, helping learners connect economic concepts to real-world events and personal decision-making. I believe economics is not just charts and equations—it’s the study of choices, trade-offs, and human behavior. In my lessons, we break down complex theories into simple, relatable examples. We might explore supply and demand using local market trends, or analyze global trade through case studies that matter to the student. I also use reflective exercises, such as keeping an “economic journal” to record observations about daily life and the economy. I have worked with a wide range of learners, including those new to the subject, neurodiverse students, and adults returning to education. I create a supportive space where questions are welcomed, and mistakes are part of the learning journey. We often use simulations, role-playing, and problem-solving workshops to make economic principles tangible. I help students connect what they learn to careers, current events, and their own personal goals. My goal is to build not only their technical understanding but also their confidence in thinking critically about the world. Economics, when taught well, becomes a tool for both academic growth and informed living. I’m here to help students see it as both empowering and relevant.

My teaching approach in Economics is systematic, building from clear fundamentals to confident application. We start with the essential concepts—scarcity, opportunity cost, and supply and demand—and ensure a deep understanding before advancing. I break down complex models into simple, visual explanations so they’re easy to grasp.
Lessons are interactive, with examples drawn from current events, business cases, and everyday life. Students learn how to interpret graphs, analyze data, and apply theories to real situations. We explore both microeconomics and macroeconomics, ensuring a balanced perspective.
I give consistent feedback so students know exactly how they’re progressing. We revisit key ideas regularly to strengthen retention. I encourage active discussion and questioning, making each session a two-way exchange.
I enjoy working with The Aspiring Entrepreneur and The Policy Debater, tailoring lessons to their goals. We often simulate market decisions or policy impacts to bring theory to life. By the end, students can break down complex economic issues into clear, logical steps.
The goal is not just to pass exams, but to think like an economist. With this method, learners gain both technical skill and real-world insight.
