In my 4 years of experience giving Portuguese classes I found i very good method that helps students learning while they have fun and discover interesting things about Brazil. Also I built my classes on personal development and self-knowledge texts, because they are topics that I love and that interest everyone who aims to grow as a person. I am also a yoga teacher, so I can also bring some more spiritualized topics about this if it is the will of the student. I focus much more on conversation and comprehension of texts, teaching grammar while we really communicate, so it's not hard or boring to learn Portuguese! Vem falar português comigo? :)
En mis 4 años de experiencia dando clases de portugués, encontré un método muy bueno que ayuda a los estudiantes a aprender mientras se divierten y descubren cosas interesantes sobre Brasil. Además, baso mis clases en textos sobre desarrollo personal y autoconocimiento, porque son temas que me apasionan y que interesan a todos los que desean crecer como personas. También soy profesora de yoga, así que puedo incluir temas más espiritualizados si el estudiante lo desea. Me enfoco mucho más en la conversación y en la comprensión de textos, enseñando gramática mientras nos comunicamos de verdad, ¡así que ya verás que no es difícil ni aburrido aprender portugués! Perfect! Great first introduction Lesson! She taught me Portuguese in a way that was really easy to understand and very helpful for pronunciation—especially for singing Brazilian music. She was fantastic! I can’t wait to work on the actual song that I want to improve in the second class. Thank you, Julie!

I would definitely recommend her.Julie is a wonderful teacher! I'm very glad I found her. She makes class interesting by making the language I'm learning personal. She chooses beautiful short stories and poems in Portugues and shares unique qualities about the culture: historical facts, music holidays, Brazilian culture. She's always encouraging me when I do good and when it's hard. Learning with Julie is fun and I saw a lot of progress studying with her.
She sends reminder throughout the week, on time for classes. Very much comfortable with her teaching style. An easy person to talk to very much down to earth. Very fast response, very much recommend to others. She’s awesome!!
