About Beatriz
I am a native Brazilian, born and raised in Sao Paulo. I moved to London at the beginning of 2020 to continue my acting and voice studies. I am very passionate about languages and accents. This diversity of sounds and cultures is what makes me want to work with the public. For the last five years, I've been working in events, as an actress, and more recently as an English and Brazilian Portuguese teacher.

The goal with my students is to speak confidently while having fun in the learning process. To achieve this our lessons are a mix of grammar, vocal warm ups and games to improve pronunciation and self-confidence. And of course, a lot of talking in Portuguese, after all Brazilians are amongst the chattiest people on Earth!

Perfect! She’s perfect
- Luna is a super communicative 6 year old girl. She has no trouble in comprehending Portuguese either, her listening skills are jaw-dropping. Although, she's a bit shy when it comes to saying a word she already knows she is ready to say a new one, like "bagunceiro"!Beatriz's response :
Perfect! Beatriz's class is fun and creative with games and loads of interaction. I strongly recommend.
Excellent! Good tutor with soft and measured approach to lessons. Very reliable and kind too.
Perfect! Excellent first lesson, fantastic teaching style. Looking forward to my next lesson.
- Liam is an excellent student! His understanding of Brazilian culture is impressive and he has a great ear for the language. We're progressing a lot in little time.Beatriz's response :
Perfect! I enjoy learning with Beatriz. The lessons are practical, relevant and tailor fit to my goals. I requested for a non traditional/ theoretical approach and that's what she delivers. Also, she is able to catch what I need to work or practice more of and corrects me immediately. In addition, I not only learn about the language itself but also the culture and history. Moreover, she applies her knowledge in acting in enunciating words. This is very helpful. Muito Obrigada Beatriz! To anyone who wants to enjoy learning Brazilian Portuguese, Beatriz is your go to teacher :)
- Bernadette is a happy soul! Every class she comes in with a lot of positivity and no fear of making mistakes (which is the number one secret to learn a language in a faster pace). She's punctual and she's often taking notes during the lessons. A great student indeed!Beatriz's response :
Perfect! Very sophisticated!!
- Nobuto's passion for Bossa Nova is inspiring and shows how listening to music can improve your listening and pronunciation skills.Beatriz's response :
Perfect! Beatriz has been teaching my husband for a few weeks now and he has nothing but great things to say about her. She is enthusiastic, professional and has a passion for teaching. Obrigada, Beatriz!
- Adriana has contacted me to give lessons to her husband, Phil. I'm impressed with his knowledge of the culture and his pronunciation skills. It's been great fun teaching him.Beatriz's response :
Perfect! Beatriz is an excellent teacher! She is very professional and cares about the student to learn. She makes lessons fun and interesting. I highly recommend Beatriz who is the perfect tutor for anyone who wants to learn Portuguese
- My first class with Fabio was very pleasant. He seems eager to learner and doesn't fear any challenges.Beatriz's response :
Perfect! Beatriz is full of positive energy, teaches with a smile on her face and helps you learn, not just the language but also the culture. Beatriz applies a refreshing and unique style of teaching which certainly helped me grasp basic concepts quickly, in a fun and interactive environment. Obrigado!
- My lessons with Aamir were a delight. His interest for the culture was the strongest player in the learning process and definitely paid off.Beatriz's response :
Perfect! Learning & improving very quickly with Beatriz. Lessons are fun, very organised and well prepared. The biggest surprise positive has been how easily she explains how to make the correct sounds - her acting expertise means she knows how to teach the physical mechanics of producing different sounds and accents - what muscles to use and how to position them - its amazingly insightful and makes learning Brazilian so much easier than just trying to guess and mimic sounds. I sound so much less like a cartoon character now and it really helps with speaking the language more confidently and feeling like you will actually be able learn to speak the language! She’s great at teaching Brazilian culture too.
Perfect! Beatriz not only adapts the classes to my level and my needs, but she also has a great personality and structures the lessons in a way to make it fun, interesting and productive!
- Nadia is a great student. She is ready and open to take on any challange in order to improve her pronunciation or knowledge of the language. It's a joy to help her refine her Portuguese twice a week.Beatriz's response :
