About Melina
The Teacher Training College has given me the pedagogic and didactic tools to do what I love the most: to teach. I've recently graduated as English Teacher, although I've been teaching English since 2015 (private lessons and in elementary / high school) I'm from Argentina and recently moved to the Netherlands. Everyone is different, that's why my lessons are adapted to the needs of the student. Some students benefit from a more visual method, some need graphics, organizers, grammar structures and others just need some help to pass their exam. Young students have the ability to build and test hypothesis, and to have metalinguistic and metacognitive reflection. For a teacher, it requires considerable skills to implement this grammatical metalanguage fast and meaningfully. For instance, finding language patterns that occur in a task, in a story, in a song, or in a classroom debate seems rather easy. The difficult part is: How to make young students notice those patterns? How to avoid grammatical labels? How to interest them without killing their motivation? This is a challenge for all teachers, I strive for making the teaching of a language more meaningful and interesting (for both teacher and student) In order to do this, for example; I can make use of corrective feedback for expanding a talk, counter questions, trigger curiosity in order to engage them among other techniques.

Perfect! Ze legt heel goed de stof uit, en de manier waarop is erg tof. dmv voorbeelden te geven. Een tip zou zijn beter Nederland's te kunnen spreken en luisteren, het lezen kan de prima. Ik ben erg tevreden want me cijfers zijn flink omhoog gegaan.
