Ambassador

One of our best tutors. Quality profile, experience in their field, verified qualifications and a great response time. HS will be happy to arrange your first Saxophone lesson.

About HS

I have been a musician for over 13 years, and I have played saxophone for over 5 years. Joined multiple events and bands, and also played different kinds of music and forms of chord progressions from blues and Jazz introductions and Reggae. I will gladly share my experience with you, outlining both tips and problems that I've encountered. Follow me through this class.

About the lesson

I will provide easy steps to play all notes with different techniques. Following up the next level of scales, minor and major, with an extension
of the most famous scales of blues. Extra tips will be provided on how to enhance sounds and play for longer periods. Finally, I will provide some licks to make the best practice possible both for improvisation and playing note for note.

Perfect! My 11 year old is learning tenor sax for the first time. I have heard great improvements in sound and technique with only a few lessons with Hamza. Listening in on the lessons, Hamza is patient, supportive, and takes the time to rephrase things if my son doesn't understand something. These sessions have been great!

HS's response
Anthony and I had a great start to our lessons. He is motivated and loves playing the instrument. I can see that his goals are very reasonable. I relate to the sense of calm he seeks in playing music. It may be a while until we can play saxophone with a similar quality of sound, but it is worth the time and energy put towards learning.

Perfect! Hamza has been a great instructor saxophone instructor. I was concerned about learning an instrument over video call but he has been really good at communicating how to play the instrument, where to place my fingers, and what things I need to work on to produce the correct sound. The progress I have made has been noticeable in just 5 classes. I would recommend him to anyone open to learning an instrument online.

Perfect! H.S is closely aware of how to make learning an instrument enjoyable, from the very beginning. I'm particularly fond of his "call and response" type instruction, which greatly rewards good listening. An invaluable lesson that he imparts is how much can be done with just a few notes. Before coming to him, I had already had some decently high level instruction on jazz harmony (on other instruments), but it can become too much to know what to do with as a beginner. Having to relearn how to play every note, and having H.S. there to encourage to play with the notes given, really helped me to let loose with my instruments.

Hamza knows how to adapt to any new situation, he analyzes them, finds the solutions, and then he transforms the new ideas into agreed phrases, then he passes them on to others in a simple and understandable way while taking into consideration the receiver level.

I'm sure he knows well about music and specially guitars, because i play guitare very well know and he have been helping me to understand difficulties while upgrading my level on guitar.

I learned several things thanks to hamza despite being older than him.

When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?
I have always had a passion for music.I loved singing as I was a little kid and I developed a good percussion skills playing the `Darbouka` ; Arabian instrument.
Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?
There is one type of music that is mostly played in a phrygian scale, it always gets to me .
Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.
There is definitely at least one difficult moment coming up on your musical path, it is mostly private and unique to every musician, it is the Music That you want to play vs the music that you are practicing. However, always remember to see the good side of those difficult moments; upgrade.
What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?
I believe that the more notes and octaves you have, the more complicated it gets, so I would say pianos are hard to bring to their limits when mastering.
What are your keys to success?
Practice and Love your music. Practice what you need and then play what you want.Always Groove
Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.
chet baker/stevie wonder/Ray charles.
Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.
My valuable stories are growing every year, This 2023 is my first year experience teaching music on #superprof and I already feel like Im sharing my musical life, if not as an artist then as a tutor
What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?
I have recently been in the shoes of students, and I can see that turning into a very good assist when providing what students need. It is a circle of learning that I admire so much qnd willing to give more to it.
