About Christel
I was born in Denmark and trained as a nurse, and I’ve been living in the United States for over 20 years. Being bilingual has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of learning a new language. I’m passionate about teaching my native language, Danish, and I believe that having fun in class is key to effective learning. I strive to create a relaxed, engaging environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to grow.

I’ll help you master the 'stød' (the glottal stop) and the 'soft d'—the sounds that usually trip people up—so you can sound natural and feel confident ordering your coffee or chatting with colleagues.
