About Makya
Hi, I’m Makya — a passionate homeschool educator, youth mentor, and curriculum designer with over a decade of experience teaching children ages 6–12. My mission is simple: to help kids build the skills they need for school success and for life. I specialize in creating engaging, hands-on lessons that make learning exciting — whether it’s boosting reading comprehension, building math confidence, exploring STEM projects, or developing essential life skills like financial literacy, teamwork, and public speaking. My teaching style blends real-world applications with creativity so kids not only understand the concepts but can apply them right away. Every session is personalized, interactive, and designed to keep students motivated, confident, and proud of their progress. Over the years, I’ve worked with homeschool families, public school students, and children who simply needed a boost in specific areas. I’ve seen shy speakers become confident presenters, reluctant readers discover a love for books, and young dreamers launch their first mini-businesses. Whether your child needs academic support, skill-building, or enrichment, I’ll meet them where they are and help them grow — all while keeping learning fun and stress-free.
