• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  A friend of mine put me in contact with his father, who is a Captain at an airline, and he talked to me about aviation. I then did a test flight and I loved it. Eventually I became an instructor and helping people achieve their dreams became very rewarding.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, and the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I teach the required material to pass the FAA exams for each different license, and I would say what I enjoy the most is teaching the Instrument Rating course.

• Did you have any role models; or a teacher who inspired you?

  My first instructor became my mentor and we have become very close friends since. He has inspired me to never stay comfortable and always want to achieve more.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  I would say the 2 most important qualities are: Experience and Patience.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  After being an instructor and landing my first airline job I realized how aviation is so much more than what you are taught. Through experiences comes learning. All the situations I've had while flying have been lessons learned, and I could not be more grateful.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  I became an instructor at 18 years of age and the biggest challenge I had was for people to trust my skills and abilities in this field at such a young age. I wouldn't say I'm still facing this challenge because the experience I have now compared to then speaks for itself.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  My biggest passion is definitely Sports.
  
  I love Soccer, huge Real Madrid fan.
  
  I love Formula 1, huge Red Bull fan.
  
  I love Boxing and MMA, I'm actually a Taekwondo Black Belt.
  
  Playing sports and watching them live is my favorite thing to do.

• What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions:-P)?

  I would say my 5 years of instructing aviation and my love for helping other people understand subjects.
