About Lake
はじめまして！I'm Lake Turner, a student currently getting my BFA degree in Painting at Indiana University. However, I've also just completed my minor in Japanese language by finishing all of the language classes up to the advanced 400 level! IU's 400 level classes are roughly at the N2 level according to the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) which is the second-to-highest proficiency. Japanese language is a big passion of mine, and I'd love to help anyone interested in learning more! よろしくお願いします！

Whether you're a casual learner who's just starting out, or you've got a test coming up in your Japanese college class and need some extra tutoring, I can help you out! I can tutor Japanese learners from the Beginner to Upper Intermediate level. I think learning a language through immersion and having fun is the most effective way to improve! Utilizing the structure of the Genki and Tobira textbooks, combined with analyzing real-world Japanese from movies & TV, books & comics, to videos and video games, we can improve your Japanese while exploring topics and media that interest you!
