About Dimuthu
I am a recent Upper Second Class Bioscience Graduate from Kings College London (KCL) and have tutored for over 4 years with an exceptional track record of happy students. The academic demands of studying at KCL were high and as such I had to develop a strong work ethic along with exam and revision techniques. All of which are tools I wish to pass onto my students.
I predominately used tutors throughout my final year of A Levels, mainly for help with A level Maths and Science coursework. I found the help of my tutors to be vital and, without it I do not believe I would have achieved the same grades.
I studied Maths, English, Biology and Chemistry at A Level
These days I freelance as a science tutor, but the majority of my time is taken up by working as a Clinical Trials Monitor across Diabetes and Covid trials.

I am an experienced Clinical Trials Co-ordinator and have taught extensively to students of different levels for over 4 years. I specialise in teaching Chemistry (upto As level), Maths (upto As Level) and Biology (upto A2 Level) and I am especially effective with enhancing grades with exam technique.
My teaching approach:
1. Practice exam questions to increase scores- I have a bank of past exam questions to use.
2. Diagrams- I will use my graphics tablet to show puzzling ideas with clear simple diagrams
3. Relatable and real life examples- I shine at communicating in simple terms and with experiences that we encounter everyday!
Other things I do:
I always work hard to plan lessons and to cater to each students individual needs. Moreover, I am always thrilled with questions, the more the better.
I have great results with all my students as a result of me ability to explain concepts 'simply'.
Example Lesson:
One would start off by introducing ourselves as well as the task at hand. I will then ask you questions about what topics you want to cover during the session (whether it be, have you studied the topic at school before? or what is the most difficult part you face?). Once I gage your level of comfort with the topic, I will propose a plan of how to go on.
I will often start off with an explanation of the terminology used for that topic in textbook as well as exam paper. Then I would use examples and diagrams to simplify these.
Once (and only when) you feel comfortable with the topic, we will move into practice questions which we will do together until you begin to feel confident.
When you feel like you can take the questions by yourself, then I will give you a short quiz at the end to see how you have improve and go over any area if necessary.
