About Sam
My name is Sam Jones. I am a second year undergraduate student at Bath University studying Biomedical Science. Outside of my studies, I am a keen rugby player and general sports lover. I also have a great interest in film and TV! I offer tutoring in A-Level Chemistry, Biology and History. I also offer tutoring in a number of GCSEs such as Sciences, Maths, History, PE & more as well as a plethora of KS3 subjects.
I’ve just finished my first year studying Biomedical Science averaging a first honours grade. Two years ago, I finished my A levels studying at Tiffin school and received 3 A* in my A Levels: Biology, Chemistry and History. I also received 11 Grade 9s at Rutlish in my GCSEs.

I have been online tutoring for the last year and look forward to working with more students! Last year I worked with two students helping one achieve grade 9s in his science and maths GCSEs whilst helping my younger student pass his 13+ and get into his chosen school.
My lessons will always be engaging, highly interactive and challenging students to work towards the best of their ability. I understand all students learn differently and therefore ensure that my lesson plans are adaptable to each student. I find that balancing covering content and consolidating understanding with exam questions is the key to learning. Collaboratively creating mind maps to cover and summarise content was a skill I developed whilst studying for my GCSEs and A-Levels and one that I have also found effective whilst teaching.
