About Jathursa
Science has always fascinated me, and that passion has shaped my academic journey, from graduating with First-Class Honours in Biomedical Science at the University of Warwick to continuing my studies as a Dental student at the University of Manchester.
My academic journey has taught me the importance of resilience, consistency and learning efficiently, qualities I strive to pass on to my students.
For over 6 years, I’ve worked in a tutoring company with students of different ages and abilities, helping them build confidence and achieve their goals. With having had the privilege of supporting students and celebrating their achievements, it has made tutoring such an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
I believe the best tutors don’t simply explain answers, they support independent thinking, equip students with the skills to succeed beyond the classroom and create.

I focus on identifying what is preventing a student from achieving their target grade and build each lesson around closing those gaps.
Every lesson is carefully planned with a clear purpose, whether that’s addressing misconceptions, mastering challenging topics, identifying high-yield content or developing effective revision strategies. My aim is to ensure each session delivers measurable progress and leaves students feeling more confident.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style, pace and academic goals, with regular check-ins to track progress and adapt our approach where needed. I believe genuine understanding should come before memorisation, so we focus on building strong foundations before applying knowledge through exam-style questions. Each lesson concludes with a recap to reinforce key concepts, alongside providing resources for independent practice so learning can continue beyond the sessions.
Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A Levels or simply looking to build confidence, my lessons are designed to challenge and support you in equal measure. My goal is not only to help you achieve excellent results, but also to develop the confidence, problem-solving skills and independent learning habits that will benefit you in the future.
