About Nathan

In high school, I scored a 5 on the AP Calc BC exam with a Calc AB subscore of 5. I also earned credit in AP Biology. On top of my academics, I was captain of my school's men's volleyball team, president of our Chinese Culture Club, and was involved in ASB.

I graduated in 2021 with a 3.8 GPA and now attend California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo studying Biomedical Engineering. I'm currently in my 2nd Year and have completed a majority of my lower-division engineering courses.

At Cal Poly, I am a student researcher and VP for a social-cultural club on campus. I continue to maintain an above 3.2 GPA and I am on track to graduate early. I also expect to pursue my master's and have dreams of going to medical school or pursuing a Ph.D.

About the lesson

I approach teaching with a methodical mindset. My lesson plans consist of quick summaries, tons of practice problems, and working with the student in understanding processes.

I offer different methods of approaching problems, especially in calculus. I also show students ways to study more efficiently and if I don't understand something, I will search for the answers and help in any way I can.

My lessons range from high school level to entry-level college courses. I have extreme proficiency STEM related topics such as Calculus and Biology. I also understand physics to an extent.

I met Nathan my freshman year of college since we lived in the same dorm and are in the same major. We’ve taken many of the same classes, and he has helped me understand content, from chemistry to calculus, regardless of his schedule. He is always willing to help out an individual if they are struggling and is able to explain difficult concepts in an easier-to-understand manor. He usually begins explaining the concept and then helps do practice problems in order for you to gain the confidence to do them yourself.
