About Miguel Angel
I hold a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and have over 10 years of university teaching and research experience across Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences.
Research is a central part of my professional background. I have contributed to more than 50 scientific publications and over 30 basic and applied research projects, giving me extensive experience in analysing scientific literature, experimental design, interpreting data and communicating research findings.
I also work with R and Python for statistical analysis and scientific visualisation and have experience with computational biology, molecular modelling and applications of artificial intelligence in the Life Sciences.
I particularly enjoy helping students make the transition from describing scientific results to critically interpreting them — often one of the most challenging parts of a biomedical dissertation.

Writing a biomedical dissertation can become overwhelming when you understand your topic but are unsure how to turn your literature, methods or results into a strong scientific argument.
I provide one-to-one dissertation support for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry and related Life Sciences. Sessions are tailored to the stage of your project and may include refining your research question, research methodology, literature and systematic reviews, interpreting experimental results, statistics, R or Python data analysis, figures and tables, and developing a critical Results or Discussion section.
Rather than simply correcting your work, we work through it together. I help you understand what your data mean, identify weaknesses in your reasoning and develop the critical analysis expected at university level.
You remain the author of your dissertation: my role is to provide expert scientific tutoring, methodological guidance and feedback.
