About Tessa
I am a Biology tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Biotechnology. I am deeply passionate about marine biology and the incredible ecosystems hidden beneath the ocean surface. The deep sea fascinates me because it remains one of the least explored places on Earth.
I love studying hydrothermal vents and the unique life forms that survive around them. These extreme environments show how organisms adapt to high pressure, darkness, and intense heat. Bioluminescence is another topic that truly excites me. The ability of deep-sea creatures to produce light is both beautiful and scientifically remarkable.
I guide my students to understand biodiversity and ecological processes in these mysterious depths. We explore food webs, symbiotic relationships, and survival strategies of extreme organisms. I also discuss the technological and scientific challenges involved in ocean exploration. This helps students connect theory with real-world discovery.
My goal is to spark curiosity while building strong biological concepts. I encourage critical thinking and scientific imagination. Let’s dive together into the mysteries of the deep ocean and discover a world few have seen.
