About Niva
I am a Biology tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and a BSc in Molecular Biology. I am deeply passionate about helping students understand life at both the molecular and behavioural levels. My special interest lies in ethology and animal behaviour studies. I use these areas to explain evolutionary psychology and behavioural ecology in a clear and engaging way.
I love teaching about innate behaviours and learned behaviours. I also explore social structures, communication systems, and survival patterns in animals. Through real examples, I show how behaviour is connected to evolution and environment. Students learn not just what animals do, but why they do it.
One of my strengths is analysing animal adaptations and survival strategies. I guide students to think critically about how species adjust to challenges in their habitats. My lessons are interactive and full of curiosity. I encourage questions and deep observation.

My teaching approach in Biology is structured, focused, and exam-oriented. I teach core topics like cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and physiology. For AP Biology preparation, I cover experimental design, lab analysis, data interpretation, and graph reading skills. I also train students on free-response question strategies and how to write clear scientific answers.
I use targeted drills to strengthen weak areas. Practice tests are a key part of my method. After each test, we review mistakes carefully and improve step by step. I teach students how to analyse experiments, identify variables, and understand controls. We practise interpreting tables, charts, and research passages.
I also connect Biology to real-world topics like clean energy, sustainability, and materials science applications. This makes learning more meaningful and interesting. I focus on building deep understanding, not memorisation.
Students receive clear guidance, honest feedback, and full support until they feel confident. I prepare them thoroughly for high scores. On exam day, they feel ready and calm. My goal is to help every student perform at their best and achieve excellent results.
