As a tutor, I begin by assessing the specific needs of each student to identify areas where they require the most support. From this evaluation, I develop a tailored lesson plan that focuses on their unique challenges and goals.
A typical lesson plan involves reviewing the material the student is currently learning in class, such as vocabulary, key concepts, and pathways in their coursework. I make sure to align the tutoring sessions with their class content to reinforce what they’re learning and to address any gaps in understanding.
My lessons are designed for students enrolled in English courses, whether it’s creative writing or standard English classes, as well as those taking advanced science courses like AP Biology, OnRamps Biology, or specialized subjects such as Cell Biology.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt my teaching methods to the individual learning style of each student, ensuring that the material is accessible and engaging. I aim to create a supportive and motivating environment where students feel confident in their ability to succeed.
