About Venessa
Hello! My name is Venesssa Amienor, and I am currently a student at Baylor University. I’m truly excited to work with you during our time together. I’ve been teaching reading and writing for over three years, and throughout that time, I’ve learned so much from my students. My hope is that you’ll learn just as much from me as I will from you. A typical lesson starts with a short quiz to test the student's current knowledge. Once graded, the information is used to build upon the lesson planned for that day. Since the lessons are online, it is important for each student to learn through both written and practical applications. Therefore, a combination of traditional writing exercises and nontraditional methods, such as educational games, will also be used.
It is essential for students not only to know what is being taught but also to understand it in a way that makes sense to them. I typically teach students aged 6 to 12. They are taught reading, essay writing, and phonics, which makes it even more important for them to grasp the material in a fun and engaging way.
