About Vladimir
Developmental biologist by training, I maintain an active research agenda. I regularly publish and present my work at professional meetings. Since 2013, I have been teaching various college-level biology classes, including General Biology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Molecular Biotechnology, and Developmental Biology. Many of my students have been accepted to graduate programs and medical schools.

Although one goal of a teacher is to provide students with a solid knowledge and understanding of the factual material, my primary focus is to help students develop the skills of information processing and analytical thinking. In my teaching, I present the underlying science as a story, a series of interconnected problem-solving tasks. I formulate a problem by providing the background information and then ask students to find a solution.
