About VIVEK
I have a dual Master's degree, a Bachelors degree and a teaching degree in biology. I have 9 years of national and international experience (IGCSE, Cambridge AS - A Level, IBDP) teaching biology in a variety of settings, including high schools, community colleges and online courses. My enthusiasm for biology and teaching has enabled me to develop engaging and creative lesson plans that have been well-received by students and colleagues alike.
I am an excellent communicator and I have the ability to make complex concepts accessible to a wide range of learners. I am also highly organized and have experience in using a variety of educational technologies to enhance my lessons. I am comfortable with both in-person and virtual teaching and I have the flexibility to work with a variety of schedules.

In my class students will explore the relationships between living things and their environments. Students will develop an understanding of biological concepts through scientific inquiry, investigations, interactive experiences, higher-order thinking, real-world applications, interpreting and collecting data, and virtual and hands-on experiences. The key big ideas of the Biology course are molecular, cellular, heredity, evolution, classification, organisms, populations, and ecosystems. Students will enhance their mastery of biological concepts, which will enable them to make real-world connections and apply their understanding to everyday life.
