About Troy
My journey in biology began with fascination for how living organisms function and adapt. I earned a B.Sc in Life Sciences, where I studied the foundations of health, genetics, and ecological systems. With 6 years of teaching experience, I have helped students build strong understanding and confidence in biology through patient explanation and structured learning.
I believe biology should feel clear, engaging, and connected to real life. My teaching style emphasises visual tools, conceptual clarity, and helping students understand systems step by step. I enjoy supporting learners who feel uncertain at first, guiding them towards steady progress and stronger academic performance. Lessons are always adapted to each student’s needs and pace.
Outside of tutoring, I continue learning through scientific reading and exploration of modern biology topics. Teaching biology is rewarding because students often become fascinated once they truly understand how life works. Helping learners grow into confident science students is something I deeply enjoy.

Biology becomes meaningful when students understand it as a connected system of life processes rather than isolated facts. In my lessons, learners explore topics such as cell function, genetics, respiration, immunity, evolution, and ecosystems through clear explanation and visual learning. I focus on building deep understanding so students can explain concepts confidently instead of relying on memorisation alone. Sessions are welcoming, structured, and designed to make biology feel approachable.
Lessons are personalised to the learner’s stage. Beginners develop strong foundations in biological terminology, body systems, and basic cellular processes. Intermediate students improve through diagrams, structured review, and exam-style practice questions that build accuracy. Advanced learners explore more complex topics like molecular genetics, physiology, and ecological balance with analytical discussion. Feedback and active recall are included in every lesson to support steady improvement.
Biology teaches observation, reasoning, and appreciation of the natural world. Many students gain confidence when they see how topics connect logically. My goal is to help learners feel capable, curious, and prepared to succeed in biology through understanding and supportive guidance.
