About Maria Fernanda
I am working towards becoming a professor in academia, so teaching students helps me step foot in the door of what I envision myself doing thirty years from now. My goal is to explain simple to complex subjects with ease and for my students to leave feeling enlightened and ready to continue building upon their knowledge.

I review the syllabus or rubric of the class to understand what benchmarks I need to cover. Then, I create my own lesson plan based on the students' work problems and assignments. Every session, I sit down with the student to know what their baseline is in the course, which guides me on what to focus on in my lesson plan. As for writing, I read the students' past essays and provide in-depth feedback based on the prompt, whether it is an assignment or application. I have worked as a tutor in the United States, and taught maths and biology to my students, as well as helped them in their writing courses. My students fall between the age of 14-18 years of age.
