About Tazin
I am a molecular and cell biologist with Ph.D. in biology with more than seven years of university-level teaching and mentoring experience. My academic background spans molecular and cell biology, microbiology, genetics, physiology, and biomedical research.
I earned my Ph.D. in Biology and completed postdoctoral research at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where my work included molecular biology, virology, DNA damage response, and cancer biology.
Throughout my academic career, I have worked with undergraduate, pre-health, and science students with different levels of preparation. I especially enjoy helping students who feel overwhelmed by biology discover that complex topics become manageable when they are explained clearly and logically.
I am patient, supportive, and organized, but I also want my students to become independent learners. My goal is for you to leave each session understanding not only the correct answer, but why it is correct and how to reason through similar questions on your own.

Biology becomes much easier when you understand the logic behind it instead of trying to memorize everything. My goal is to help you understand difficult concepts clearly and build the confidence to solve problems independently.
I teach Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Immunology, with lessons tailored to your course, current level, and goals. I especially welcome college, pre-health, nursing, and advanced high-school students who need help understanding challenging concepts or preparing for exams.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the topics you are struggling with. I then break complex concepts into manageable steps using diagrams, biological examples, questions, and problem-solving. We finish by applying what you learned to practice questions so I can identify remaining gaps before your exam.
I hold a Ph.D. in Biology and have approximately seven years of university-level teaching experience. My teaching and research background spans cell and molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, physiology, infectious disease, and cancer biology.
Whether you need ongoing support or focused preparation for an upcoming exam, I will meet you at your current level and help you move toward genuine understanding, not just memorization.
