About Ariya
I have been passionate about understanding living systems since my early studies in molecular biology, which led me to earn a B.Sc in Molecular Biology. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided learners of all ages through the intricacies of cells, genetics, physiology, and ecology, focusing on conceptual understanding and scientific inquiry. My teaching emphasises patience, clarity, and adaptability to accommodate diverse learning styles.
I integrate hands-on exercises, visual aids, and real-life examples to make abstract biological processes comprehensible and engaging. Lessons encourage active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving, fostering both knowledge and confidence. My approach helps learners connect theory with practical application, preparing them for further studies or scientific exploration.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with current biological research, laboratory techniques, and educational innovations. This enriches my lessons, allowing students to encounter contemporary applications and ideas. Biology lessons with me aim to make living systems understandable, engaging, and relevant. I cover cellular biology, genetics, molecular biology, ecology, evolution, and physiology, emphasising clear explanations and practical connections to the real world. Lessons incorporate diagrams, visual aids, interactive activities, and real-life examples, helping students internalise key concepts and develop critical thinking skills. I encourage curiosity, experimentation, and careful observation, ensuring students build a strong foundation for higher education in biological sciences or related fields.
Beginner students focus on fundamental structures, processes, and classifications, gradually building familiarity with lab techniques and observational skills. Intermediate learners explore genetics, molecular pathways, ecological interactions, and experimental design. Advanced students tackle complex topics such as genomics, bioinformatics, and research methodology, integrating practical exercises, data analysis, and conceptual reasoning. My teaching emphasises understanding mechanisms, rather than rote memorisation, cultivating a deeper comprehension and lasting knowledge.
Biology education with me also strengthens analytical thinking, attention to detail, and scientific reasoning.
