About Umamah
Hiya!! I’m currently 18 and am soon going to university and will study a Masters course in STEM! I have recently finished my A-levels, achieving 3A’s in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, and a pass in the practical section! My exam board was AQA.
I’m a huge fan of botany hence I took part in many CREST awards by Loughborough University in plant science. I love to help others and one time helped run a charity camp abroad in Pakistan! I achieved the World Class Award in my secondary school as a result.
I absolutely adore fashion, and have even designed and made some articles myself! A matching and chic outfit is a must for me.
I like to think of myself as quite a colourful and cheerful person and am a dedicated hard worker. I always endeavour to do my best and hope everyone sees that in my lessons :)

Each student has a different way of learning, so my approach is tailored to the students way of learning. You can’t be learning new things if consolidation of previous knowledge hasn’t occurred, so the main thing is to strengthen the basic foundation of what the student knows and then fill up any gaps. If the student requests, then I can also help with further reading, as for example in the Biology A-level AQA essay in paper 3. Each lesson will be fully detailed with what the student requests to cover, and we can also discuss linked topics in the specification. Once knowledge is strong, we will shift to exam technique and how to phrase answers, as knowledge unfortunately isn’t the only thing you need. It MUST be coupled with exam technique. Once we have nailed exam technique, then it goes onto timing as timing is essential.
