About Anabel
Hi, I’m Anabel, and I’m passionate about helping students discover the fascinating world of Biology. I’ve always loved learning about how life works, from the tiniest cells to the complex ecosystems around us, and I enjoy sharing that excitement with others. I decided to become a teacher because I believe education is one of the most powerful tools to inspire confidence, curiosity, and success. My goal is to make learning approachable and engaging, helping each student feel supported and capable of achieving their best.

Hi, I’m Anabel! I’m a passionate Biology and Science teacher with a background in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a record of helping students achieve their goals. I love making science fun, engaging, and easy to understand by connecting it to the real world and tailoring lessons to suit each student’s needs. I am experienced in planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that meet my pupils' individual needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their goals. My one-to-one approach is informed by my experience supporting learners of different abilities, ensuring each session is personalised to suit their unique learning style. My background in scientific research and real-world applications of Biology allows me to bring the subject to life, making even the most challenging topics accessible and interesting. My approach will depend on the student I am with and their goals for the sessions. A rough plan of the sessions is as follows: 1. Introduction and Goal-Setting (5 minutes) 2. Recap and Warm-Up (5-10 minutes) Quick review of the previous session Use a short quiz, discussion, or Q&A to activate prior learning. 3. Teaching and Explanation (15-20 minutes) Introduce the topic using clear explanations, visuals, and examples. Break down complex concepts into manageable steps. 4. Guided Practice (15 minutes) could be exam questions or homework problems 5. Independent Practice (10 minutes) Give the student a few questions or tasks to complete on their own. Observe their approach and provide hints or support as needed. 6. Review and Wrap-Up (5 minutes)
