About Allyson
My name is Allyson, and I am passionate about helping students excel on the Dental Admission Test (DAT) through a clear, structured, and supportive approach. Preparing for the DAT can feel overwhelming, but with the right strategies and guidance, you can build confidence and achieve the competitive scores needed for dental school. I focus on personalized tutoring that adapts to each student’s unique learning style. My lessons combine content mastery, test-taking strategy, and timing techniques, so students not only understand the material but also know how to approach questions under real exam conditions. A typical session begins by identifying your strengths and areas of improvement, followed by targeted practice using real DAT-style questions. I emphasize active problem-solving and simplify complex concepts, making them easier to remember and apply on test day. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students on a personal level while maintaining a professional, results-driven environment. I’ve been through the DAT journey myself, so I understand the challenges you face — from test anxiety to balancing study time with other responsibilities. My goal is to provide not just instruction, but also motivation and structure, helping you stay consistent and avoid burnout. Whether you’re taking the DAT for the first time or retaking it to improve your score, I am committed to guiding you step-by-step toward success. Together, we will create a study plan that works for you, build your confidence, and give you the tools to walk into the exam feeling fully prepared.

Hi! I’m Allyson, and I specialize in helping students master the DAT by simplifying complex topics and building a clear, personalized study plan. My approach is all about strategy and efficiency — I focus on breaking down challenging concepts into simple, memorable steps so you can understand the “why” behind every answer, not just memorize facts.
A typical lesson starts with reviewing your goals and recent practice scores, then diving into targeted areas like Biology, Quantitative Reasoning, or Reading Comprehension strategy. I use real DAT-style questions to teach active problem-solving, timing techniques, and pattern recognition so you feel confident on test day. Each session ends with a custom study plan for the week, so you always know exactly what to focus on.
What sets me apart is that I’ve been through the DAT process myself, so I understand the pressure and how overwhelming prep can feel. I’ve developed efficient methods to raise scores quickly while avoiding burnout. My lessons are ideal for students preparing for their first attempt or retake, especially those using Bootcamp or similar prep resources who want to take their studying to the next level.
If you’re ready to feel confident and in control of your DAT prep, I’ll guide you step-by-step to get the competitive score you need for dental school.
