About Joel
I am a Life Sciences graduate with a strong academic and laboratory background, passionate about helping students realise their potential. Having benefited from great mentors myself, I want to give back by providing the clarity and support I once valued. I’m naturally laid back and approachable, creating a comfortable learning environment, but I am firm about standards and excellence. I push my students to aim higher than they think they can, because I know the discipline and effort will be worth it when they achieve the grades they’re working towards. I offer structured, high-impact GCSE Biology and Chemistry tuition grounded in my BSc in Biological and Chemical Sciences (2:1) from Coventry University and current MSc studies in Pharmaceutical Medicine at King’s College London. My 90-minute lessons are designed for depth and retention: we begin with active recall and diagnostic questioning, move into clear concept breakdown using exam-board specifications, and consolidate learning through exam-style questions with live feedback. I emphasise scientific reasoning, mark scheme literacy, and application skills to secure top grades. Each session is tailored, data-driven, and focused on measurable academic progress.
