About Devika
Hi there!
To start, I have had a love for biology for a long time, starting around the beginning of high school when I took my first biology class. After this, I did anything and everything to learn more. After taking both AP biology and chemistry, I was able to seriously pursue scientific research related to biological concepts. For the first 8 months of my research, I worked to analyze the effects of insulin on amyloid-beta in Alzheimer's patients. I wrote a scientific paper, using many if not all of the biochemistry concepts I had learned.
Although my results were truly significant, I found teaching and presenting to be the most important aspect of the experience. For me, helping others understand by furthering knowledge is my utmost priority. Biology is a fundamental concept that is crucial to many other fields of study.
I've helped over 15-20 high schools students and many have found significant improvement and greater comprehension overall. I have a love for learning and teaching biology and hope I can pass that onto you as your tutor.
