About Babette
I am a double major third Year student at the university of western Ontario. I have past knowledge of English tutoring and general tutoring. I am A2 certified in French, N5 certified in Japanese (but closer to an N3 level as I study it intensively), and fluent in English.

I prefer to teach through practice and repetition. As it’s important to learn languages through trying, I encourage students to make risks and do their best with the language to promote growth and avoid stagnant learning. Ideally, a 1 on 1 tutoring session allows the student to be more comfortable speaking and working on their English without worrying about judgement.

Babette was an amazing teacher! I am a total beginner at Japanese, and Babette was very patient and all of her instructions were very clear. She also made the class easy and fun. Highly recommend!
Babette is excellent at breaking down concepts and explaining Japanese grammar in easily understandable terms (and often does so for her friends and peers). She is patient, knowledgeable, and very well suited for teaching in my opinion.
