About Luis
My name is Luis Capurro, a bilingual college student. I speak Spanish because I am from Uruguay and it was spoken to me growing up. Throughout my secondary school years I often tutored my classmates for GCSE Spanish as well as other subjects like history helping them achieve passes and above. Now I want to help other KS4 students confidently achieve their grades in order to advance to college education and beyond.

My approach to tutoring GCSE Spanish is tailored, supportive, and results-driven. I aim to build each student’s confidence in the language by combining clear explanations with interactive, engaging lessons that focus on real progress. I start by understanding each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and preferred learning style. From there, I create personalised lesson plans that balance grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, while aligning closely with the GCSE curriculum and exam board requirements. One of my key focuses is helping students develop practical communication skills, especially in speaking and listening, while also reinforcing their ability to approach exam tasks strategically. I use a variety of resources, including past papers, audio materials, conversation practice, and cultural insights, to make learning both effective and enjoyable. Ultimately, my goal is to help students feel prepared and confident, not just to pass the exam, but to use the Spanish language with greater fluency and enthusiasm.
