About Natalie

I love to learn and learn together, I think I learn as much from my students as they do from me. I first got a tutor when I was seven years old, I was living in France and struggling with school given that my parents did not speak any French. I thought I was a bad student, that school wasn't meant for me, but then I got a tutor and things really changed for me. I discovered how to study, how to apply myself, and gained a deep appreciation for the ability to explain one thing in different ways. I quickly became a good student, graduating with honors from high school, undergraduate and graduate school. Throughout middle and high school I became a tutor to other kids in my school of different ages. After going to college and working a few years in the non-profit sector (related to education), I reoriented my professional goals to better suit my creative aspirations. Today I am looking for a few students in the Sacramento area to steadily support through their educational dreams of success and joy in learning. Lastly, I think neurodivergence is a strength that is seldom supported in our current academic environments, and I will explore different learning methods until we find the one best suited to you.

About the lesson

For a French lesson, we will start with a casual discussion of our weeks then work on your homework, upcoming test or goal we've discussed together. What sets me apart? I grew up in France, went to French school up until going to college for my undergraduate degree, then came back to Paris to get my Master's degree. For an English lesson, writing or literature focused, we can discuss your needs and goals and make a plan adapted to you. I love English literature and I will thoroughly enjoy working on this topic with you. I am very enthusiastic about learning and will always bring a positive attitude to our meetings. I can teach French as a second language at all levels, and English literature through high school. I can also help with sociology and economics, I have a master's degree in Economics and have taken many sociology classes in college.
